One of the crafts that mankind excels in is producing jewelries. Culture is shaped by a number factors and jewelry is connected ethnically. Jewelry is incessantly related with fashion and through the years, accessorizing has been man’s fascination. Adorning oneself with things accentuate one’s personality. It raises the character and get attention making the owner beautiful. For most it is also a status symbol. Everyone has something to say with jewelries. For the rich, it shows them their luxurious life and how they can afford buying those things. Gaining countless jewelry shows that one can afford these luxuries and not every people can afford to have this things. A good price tag is always a show of success to many. Where the jewelry is made and who made is also a factor for its pricing. For the not-so-rich, obtaining jewelry is not a need one can have and not even a priority. It is already luxurious to have some and even worth more than the money that is used in buying it in the first place. Not all jewelries are created the same, even their prices. The higher the percentage of purity of the metal, the higher the price. To reduce their prices, mixing with other metals is one alternative. Fake jewelries are created, this is where coating is done to make a replica of a genuine item. It is also considered as an art and the older the pieces are, the more valuable it is. Collecting old jewelries are a a hobby for some. Academically, it also helps us learn how our past evolves and how ancient cultures lived and survived.
